Dodd W. DeCamp was elected Vice President, Exploration in June 1997
and is responsible for ARCO's worldwide exploration activities. He
had been manager of Upstream Planning and Exploration since February 1996.
DeCamp joined ARCO in 1995 after 14 years with Shell Oil Company, where
he held various positions, including Gulf of Mexico Exploration Manager,
Texas Asset Exploration and Production Manager, and Manager of Exploration
Economics. After joining ARCO, DeCamp served as Manager of Exploration
Research for the company's exploration and production technology unit and
in various exploration and planning functions. DeCamp is a graduate
of the University of Texas at Austin, where he received Bachelor of Science
and Masters degrees in Geology.
