William L. Fisher is Professor and L. T. Barrow Chair in Mineral
Resources at the University of Texas at Austin and Director of the Geology
Foundation. He served for 24 years as Director of the University's
Bureau of Economic Geology and is past Chairman of the Department of Geological
Sciences.
