Comments: This facility maintains an up-to-date collection of subsurface
data for New Mexico, with emphasis on oil and gas, but it has significant
collections of coal and uranium data as well. It also maintains up-to-date
field and pool maps, organized by stratigraphic unit, for all oil and gas
pools in New Mexico. It also has a collection of sample logs, biostratigraphic
data, production data, legal descriptions of fields and pools, etc. In
addition, there is source rock data on approximately 100 wells in New Mexico.
The Library is part of the DOE/PTTC Petroleum Resource Center at New Mexico
Tech.

Comments: The Library has very good coverage of southeast New Mexico,
as well as logs and completion reports on most of the state. Members collect
their own data. Others wanting information can come in for a day fee, plus
copy charges.
