Comments: Other holdings include cuttings, trench, soil, and other
geologic samples. Seismic and well-log information are handled by other
groups on the Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Project (YMSCP). Geologic
samples are available for examination at the Sample Management Facility
(SMF), located on the Nevada Test site, a secure DOE facility. Arrangements
for examinations must be made in advance. The sample collection is composed
primarily of tertiary volcanics from the Southern Nevada Volcanic Field.
In addition, some samples of the deeper Paleozoics are available. Contact
the DOE, YMSCP office for additional information concerning geophysical
data, map and location, and geologic and mineralogic data.

Comments: Water-well and geothermal-well logs are available as public
record (geothermal is held confidential for a 5-year period). Some ground-water
elevation or depths-to-water data are available, mostly in hard-copy format,
but some electronic retrievals are available. Some ground-water usage data
are also available.
