Comments: The Wyoming State Geological Survey (WSGS) is a repository and generator of maps, reports, and general data relating to the geology, energy and mineral resources, and geologic hazards for the state of Wyoming. Survey staff also answer inquiries and provide information relating to these topics.

The WSGS is currently digitizing geologic map indexes and hopes to have these accessible on the World Wide Web in 1997. Also, it is applying for funding through STATEMAP to begin digitizing surficial and bedrock geologic maps at 1:100,000-scale in mid-1997.
