This poster will provide a summary of data from 5 NSF-funded projects looking at what matters in curriculum reform. The data will highlight the follow aspects of curriculum reform: 1) the effectiveness of research-based curriculum materials in reducing the achievement gap between traditionally under-represented groups of students; 2) teacher fidelity of use of materials correlates to improved student achievement; 3) the selection and adoption of research-based curriculum materials should be a professional development experience; and 4) leadership development is an essential component of successful implementation of research-based curriculum materials.
