Edys Quellmalz

Edys Quellmalz, SRI International is Associate Director of the Center for Technology in Learning (CTL) and director of the assessment program area. Dr. Quellmalz is a nationally recognized expert in performance assessment and has conducted hundreds of professional development sessions on the topic. She focuses on assessment and evaluation designs for technology-based education programs. She leads assessment projects funded by NSF involving the creation of network-based systems for evaluation and performance assessment resources and for the development of innovative, technology-supported student assessments. She has consulted on numerous state, national, international, student, and teacher assessments. Dr. Quellmalz received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in educational psychology, served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Educational Psychology and on numerous national advisory panels, editorial boards, and professional association posts. Before joining SRI, she served on the faculty of the Stanford School of Education, taught courses for the UCLA Graduate School of Education, and directed the RMC Research California office.
