The CVD is a two-day annual event that brings scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, and technology executives to Washington to raise visibility and support for science, engineering, and technology. Uniquely multi-sector and multi-disciplinary, the CVD is coordinated by coalitions of companies, professional societies and educational institutions and it is open to all people who believe that science and technology comprise the cornerstone of our Nation's future.
. . to underscore the long-term importance of science and technology to the Nation through meetings with congressional decisionmakers.
. . . members of the Coalition for Technology Partnerships and the Science-Engineering-Technology Work Group and other colleagues in the science and technology enterprise.
Preliminary briefings schedule.
A press release is available for the use of societies participating in the 1999 Science-Engineering-Technology Congressional Visits Day event. Please feel free to adapt for your own use.
A preliminary list of appointments with House and Senate offices is available on the AGU web site. The list of all House and Senate offices shows the lead organization and contact person for each appointment. If you would like to join in visiting an office for which an appointment has already been scheduled, please coordinate directly with the contact person. If you have set up an appointment with an office, please let Pete Folger know so he can add it to the list.
