EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency issued a final rule revising the deadline for submitting requests for use of best available monitoring methods. The rule applies to petroleum and natural gas facilities under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule. [Wednesday, May 1, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 84)]

DOE – The Department of Energy announced the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact statement for the FutureGen 2.0 Project. Comments should be submitted by June 17, 2013. A public hearing was held on May 21, 2013 in Jacksonville, IL from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. [Friday, May 3, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 86)]

DOT – The Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration is holding a meeting of the Advisory Council on Transportation Statistics on June 10, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.[Friday, May 3, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 86)]

DOE – The Department of Energy’s Methane Hydrate Advisory Committee is holding an open meeting on June 6, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and June 7, 2013 from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. [Monday, May 6, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 87)]

NOAA – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced additional proposed future restoration projects and environmental reviews to continue the use of early restoration funding to restore natural resources, ecological services, and human use services damaged by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. NOAA – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration extended the deadline for applications for persons to serve on the Ocean Exploration Advisory Board. Applications should be submitted by June 6, 2013. [Tuesday, May 7, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 88)]

DOE – The Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Advisory Board is holding an open meeting on June 14, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. [Thursday, May 9, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 90)]

EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a notice responding to comments on the proposed Actions that EPA Regional Offices Are Taking to Promote Meaningful Engagement in the Permitting Process by Overburdened Communities and Promising Practices for Permit Applicants Seeking EPA-Issued Permits: Ways to Engage Neighboring Communities, which EPA is publishing. EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency announced the issuance of a draft titled Technical Guidance for Assessing Environmental Justice in Regulatory Analysis, which will assist EPA analysts in considering environmental justice in regulatory analyses. EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Science Advisory Board is holding a public teleconference of the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee Oxides of Nitrogen (NO X) Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standards Review Panel on June 5, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The meeting will address the EPA's Draft Plan for Development of the Integrated Science Assessment (ISA) for NO X —Health Criteria. PHMSA – The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration is requesting comments on the economic impacts of the Hazardous Materials Regulations on small entities. Comments should be submitted by July 8, 2013. [Thursday, May 9, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 90)]

EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency is holding a workshop on June 11, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in North Carolina. The purpose of the workshop is to evaluate preliminary draft materials that will inform the development of the nitrogen oxides Integrated Science Assessment for health effects. EPA – The Environmental Protection Agency is holding a workshop on June 12-13, 2013 in North Carolina to discuss the proposed update to the Integrated Science Assessment for Sulfur Oxides—Health Criteria. BOEM – The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announced the intent to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) to evaluate potential environmental effects of multiple geological and geophysical activities in outer continental shelf waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Comments should be submitted by June 24, 2013. BOEM will hold a series of scoping meetings on the PEIS: Tampa, Florida on June 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.; Fort Walton Beach, Florida on June 11, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.; Mobile, Alabama on June 12, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.; Gulfport, Mississippi on June 13, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.; Galveston, Texas on June 17, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.; New Orleans, Louisiana on June 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.; and Silver Spring, Maryland on June 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. [Friday, May 10, 2013 (Volume 78, Number 91)]

FS – The United States Forest Service (USFS) proposed a rule under the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 that would clarify regulations for the management and protection of paleontological recourses on Forest Service lands. [Thursday, May 23, 2013(Volume 78, Number 100)]

FWS – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Shadura Natural Gas Development Project is available for public review.
