Action Alerts, Monthly Reviews and Special Updates

Action alerts are sent out by the AGI Geoscience Policy program to solicit responses from AGI's Member Societies on key issues affecting the geosciences in Congress or federal agencies. The alerts provide background information, contact information for key legislators or agency officials, and sample letters when appropriate.

Monthly reviews and more timely special updates keep the Member Societies informed of Geoscience Policy activities and related events in Washington. They are sent out primarily by electronic mail to Member Society leadership; public affairs committees; AGI's Executive Committee, Member Society Council, and Geoscience Policy Committee; and other interested geoscientists.
