FY 2014 Department of the Interior Appropriations ( 4/11/13)

President's Request

The President released his budget proposal for fiscal year (FY) 2014 on April 10, 2013. Details about the Department of the Interior's (DOI) budget request can be found on the DOI web site. Further details about the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) proposed budget are forthcoming.

House Action

 

The House of Representatives considers funding for the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) within the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee chaired by Representative Representative Mike Simpson (R-ID). Other members are Ken Calvert (R-CA), Tom Cole (R-OK), Tom Graves (R-GA), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), David Joyce (R-OH), David Valadao (R-CA), Ranking Member Jim Moran (D-VA), Betty McCollum (D-MN), Chellie Pingree (D-ME), and Jose Serrano (D-NY).

Senate Action

 

The Senate considers funding for the DOI and the EPA in the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee chaired by Senator Jack Reed (D-RI). Other members are Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Tim Johnson (D-SD), Jon Tester (D-MT), Tom Udall (D-NM), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Mark Begich (D-AK), Ranking Member Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Thad Cochran (R-MS), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Roy Blunt (R-MO), John Hoeven (R-ND), and Mike Johanns (R-NE).
