Geoscientists, students, and others in Australia are gearing up for another great Earth Science Week in 2009. To begin, Geoscience Australia once again is hosting the Geologi short Film Competition.
The competition, open to all school-age Australian students, focuses on the theme “Earth Science in Everyday Life.â€Â Entries close on Aug. 14. International participation in Earth Science Week has grown year by year, as people in nearly 20 nations took part last year.
