Changing a View's Background ColorThe default view background color is gray. Sometimes, however, you may want to use a background color that provides more visual interest or conveys meaning. Changing the view's background color is as easy as setting the view's properties. In the View Properties dialog (accessed by choosing Properties from the View menu) there is a setting called Background Color. Clicking the Select Color button displays a Color Picker from which you can choose a color for the background of your view. When you click OK in the View Properties dialog, the view's background displays with the color you selected.
In the view below, the background color was changed to blue (for water). The background color is maintained when the view is displayed in a layout.
