AGI Geoscience & Public Policy Internships

AGI Geoscience Policy offers summer and semester internship opportunities for geoscience students (undergraduates and Masters students) with an interest in public policy and in how Washington impacts the geoscience community. Interns gain a first-hand understanding of the legislative process and the operation of executive branch agencies. They also hone writing, research, and web publishing skills. Stipends for the interns are generously supported by AGI, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the American Institute of Professional Geologists Foundation.

Each summer the AGI/AIPG interns write articles that are published in The Professional Geologist. The articles are available from the Geoscience Policy Articles website. Interns have the opportunity to write articles for other publications.

Check out the past interns database for biographies, publications, and other information.

A flyer about the internships that can be posted on bulletin boards is available as a PDF for printing.
